Description

This coffee comes from the Wanale region in the foothills of Mount Elgon, Uganda, produced through a collaboration between The Coffee Gardens and Norman Mukuru’s processing project, The Coffee Yard. The initiative focuses on improving traceability, farmer support and long-term sustainability while producing high quality specialty coffee.

Sourced from smallholder producers across the surrounding districts, this washed lot combines local varieties alongside SL14 and SL28, resulting in a cup that is balanced, approachable and easy to enjoy.

In the cup, expect soft stone fruit notes, almond sweetness and a smooth dark chocolate finish. The acidity is gentle and well integrated, creating a comforting and versatile coffee that works equally well as filter or espresso.

This is not a loud or overly complex coffee, but rather a clean and satisfying everyday cup, showcasing the quality and potential of Ugandan coffee.
