Description

The story behind Bukonzo Dream begins with a shift in how coffee is sourced and valued. Instead of buying processed coffee, Agrio committed to purchasing directly from smallholders. By working closely with local communities in the Rwenzori region, they created a collaborative model that ensures quality, fairer pay, and more consistent results. Only ripe cherries are selected, building strong ties with producers and elevating the final product.

Named in honour of the Bakonzo people—whose deep connection to the Rwenzori Mountains transcends borders between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo—this coffee celebrates heritage, shared effort, and a vision to do things differently.

Naturally processed with care, Bukonzo Dream offers a fruit-forward cup with notes of peach yogurt, macadamia, mango, and a creamy body, finishing vibrant and clean.

Sourced through our partners at Omwani, Bukonzo Dream is grown by up to 500 smallholders at 1,800 to 2,000 metres above sea level, using SL14 and SL28 varietals rooted in rich volcanic soils. It reflects the work of over 500 farming families and a region with a lot to say—if you’re ready to listen.
