Tasting Notes: Jasmine / Lime Zest / Honey
This coffee comes from Wilder Garcia, a third-generation producer based in Jaén, in the Cajamarca region of Peru. His family has been growing coffee since the 1970s, combining traditional knowledge with a forward-thinking approach to farming and processing.
Grown at high altitude and carefully processed, this lot is a washed Gesha, a variety known for its delicate and expressive cup profile. The cherries are dried slowly on raised beds, helping preserve clarity and structure in the final cup.
In the cup, it’s all about elegance and balance. Floral jasmine aromatics lead the way, followed by bright lime zest acidity and a soft, honeyed sweetness that carries through the finish.
This is a more classic expression of Gesha. Clean, refined and quietly complex, showing just how good a well grown and well processed coffee can be without relying on heavy processing.
