These skilled women producers are actively involved in enhancing their coffee farms’ environmental health. They engage in creating organic fertilizers, maintaining their coffee trees, and learning about business management. Their hard work results in high-quality coffee with a positive impact on the environment.
By choosing COMAL Mujeres coffee, you’re supporting these producers indirectly. Our green coffee partner, Sucafina, contributes a portion of their sales to a medical and dental clinic. This clinic, managed by the exporter UNEX, provides vital healthcare services to over 300 producers weekly, with a special focus on women’s health, including essential vitamins.
Besides coffee, these producers cultivate honey, fruit trees, and staple crops like maize and beans. They also contribute to environmental conservation by planting trees and cultivating flowers that attract bees, boosting honey production. Each producer meticulously processes their coffee, ensuring quality from drying to delivery to the FECCEG dry mill in Quetzaltenango.
